Qualifications:

• Knowledge of guidelines governing essential office practices and procedures
• Knowledge of correct English language usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation, as well as strong proofreading skills
• Advanced skill in the use of computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and use of the Internet as an information tool
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Ability to multi-task, work with interruptions, and work under pressure
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, administrators, and staff
• Ability to model and promote a culture of high expectations for student and staff performance
• Ability to supervise and process students in the office for illness, medication, discipline, and transportation home
• Demonstrated trustworthiness and ability to handle confidential information with appropriate discretion
• Other duties as assigned by supervision
• Experience in a school system, preferred
