Director of Recruitment

Recruitment Group SupervisorPay Range: $65.73 - $92.22Responsible for the supervision and leadership of the day-to-day operations of the Recruitment group. Responsible for full life-cycle recruiting, including recruiting, screening and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external) to fill positions within the organization. Maintains and applies knowledge of legal requirements for provider recruitment functions and ensures policies, procedures, and hiring processes comply. Is in partnership with other managers and supervisors to effectively recruit, retain, and provide training to staff. Position operates with limited supervision in a team environment. Work situations require interpersonal tact and diplomacy, and the ability to influence and educate others on provider recruitment and staffing. Position consistently handles information of a highly confidential nature. Must possess a strong base of provider recruitment related knowledge and be capable of applying this knowledge on a day-to-day basis.SEARHC is a non-profit health consortium which serves the health interests of the residents of Southeast Alaska. We offer generous benefits, including retirement, paid time off, paid parental leave, health insurance, dental, and vision benefits, life insurance and long and short-term disability, and more.Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job:Develops, coordinates, implements and supervises and gives general direction on the provider recruitment and new hire processSupervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnelStrategically plans and implements recruitment activities such as job fairs, targeted advertising and selective use of search firms to meet the staffing needs of SEARHCInterviews potential candidates and makes hiring recommendations to departmental personnelDevelops, implements and monitors creative strategies in all levels of provider recruitment and retentionPrepares and maintains statistical reports related to provider recruitment and retention.Measures performance and develops action plans and objectives to continuously improve employee engagementDevelops and implements provider recruiting strategies and coordinates the hiring processParticipates in budget preparation and cost control managementDevelops and implements specialized, multidisciplinary recruiting, advertising and marketing strategies for sourcing and referring qualified applicants. Is responsible for recruiting and hiring providers.Works in partnership with the Vice President of Human Resources and the Operations Director to ensure recruitment program compliance and qualified Alaska Native and American Indian applicant preference in accordance with Public Law 93-638 and ensures that all Recruitment Partners and hiring managers have applied this preference to qualified applicants for positions posted and used when final candidate is selected.Markets and promotes SEARHC to applicants and networks, collaborates and promotes organization with other institutions, universities, and professional organizations. Has knowledge of and can clearly articulate benefit package for employees.Additional Details:Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Sociology or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceProfessional Recruitment or other Recruitment Certification(s) preferred.Experience Required:Eight plus (8+) years of experience in RecruitmentThree plus (3+) years of Recruitment Team Management/Supervisory experienceSeven (7+) years of healthcare recruiting or healthcare HR experience.Knowledge of:Principles and practices of personnel administration and Human Resources processes and guidelinesPublic Law 93-638 and its application to SEARHC's recruitment and hiring processes and practices.Recruiting, staffing, marketing, sales and advertising processes and proceduresSkills in:Utilizing a teamwork approach in the delivery of HR services, while building positive relationships at all levels of the organization, outside of the organization, leading by example and influencing outcomes positively and effectivelyOral and written communicationsManaging multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meeting deadlinesAbility to:Independently troubleshoot and problem-solve issues using a working knowledge of current policies and practices of the Consortium.Create a work environment in which staff and applicants can express concerns so you can help resolve issues pertaining to recruitment and the application process.Be a team player within the HR department and the Consortium; listens to the needs and challenges of managers and employees and demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to create and maintain a good impression, based on competence and credibility.Cultivate respectful and professional relationships with leadership throughout the Consortium.Position Information:Work Shift: ExemptIf you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
