Job Description

The Residential Electrician specializes in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems across residential homes, including new constructions and renovations. This role requires adherence to electrical codes and safety standards while effectively interacting with customers and coordinating with contractors and other trades. The electrician performs both independent work and team collaboration, regularly traveling to multiple job sites.

 

Responsibilities

• Install wiring and electrical systems in residential properties
• Perform repair work and system upgrades
• Test equipment and troubleshoot electrical issues
• Ensure strict adherence to residential electrical codes and safety regulations
• Interact professionally with customers to understand their needs
• Coordinate with general contractors and other trades on-site
• Report directly to supervisor on project progress and challenges
• Travel regularly across multiple locations for diverse projects

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in residential electrical work
• Journeyman electrician certification
• Strong skills in electrical wiring and troubleshooting
• Thorough knowledge of safety compliance and residential electrical codes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
• Effective time management skills
