Contract | Nights (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit with 7 L&D beds, 2 triage beds, and 10 postpartum beds, supporting approximately 1–3 births per day
• Manage and monitor high-risk obstetric patients, including those with pre-eclampsia, utilizing strong assessment skills to respond to OB emergencies until the provider arrives
• Perform proficient fetal monitoring and execute appropriate interventions for fetal distress
• Assist with and support C-section cases as part of routine unit responsibilities
• Function in both L&D and couplet care roles as census demands, including LDRP coverage when needed
• May float to other hospital units (typically MedSurg or ED) based on experience and facility need; expected to work a minimum of 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule and one on-call shift per 4-week schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Demonstrated C-section experience required
• Ability to independently manage OB emergencies in a setting without an in-house OB or Neonatologist

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients in a clinical setting
• Comfort floating to Emergency Department or MedSurg units when needed
• Experience functioning in couplet care or LDRP environments
