Manager - Warehouse

Warehouse ManagerViking is looking for a Warehouse Manager to lead the day-to-day warehouse operation and support the continued growth of our branch operations. This role is responsible for managing receiving, shipping, inventory, and material handling while leading the warehouse team to ensure accuracy, safety, and operational efficiency.This role also oversees the branch transportation function, including coordinating deliveries, managing drivers, and ensuring compliance with transportation and safety requirements.The Warehouse Manager works closely with branch leadership, Customer Service, and Fabrication teams to ensure orders move through the operation efficiently and customers receive the level of service expected from Viking.What You'll Be Responsible ForLeading daily warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, inventory management, and material handlingSupervising and developing warehouse employees while setting clear expectations and accountabilityEnsuring orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on timeAuditing incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure inventory accuracyCoordinating with Customer Service and Fabrication teams to support customer orders and delivery timelinesManaging freight, deliveries, and transportation logistics including internal driversOverseeing day-to-day transportation activities including dispatching, routing, and tracking shipmentsHiring, training, and supervising drivers and transportation staff while managing schedules and workloadEnsuring compliance with applicable DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policiesCoordinating vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs to maintain fleet reliabilityMaintaining warehouse organization, safety standards, and housekeeping expectationsConducting safety meetings and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standardsTroubleshooting shipping or receiving issues and working to resolve root causesManaging warehouse supplies, equipment, and minor facility needsEnsuring standard operating procedures are followed across warehouse operationsDriving continuous improvement efforts including 5S and operational process improvementsManaging staffing levels, scheduling, and overtime needs to support operational demandWhat We're Looking For5+ years of warehouse or distribution experience3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse environmentExperience working with transportation logistics, drivers, or fleet operations is a plusFamiliarity with DOT regulations and transportation compliance is helpfulStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience working with warehouse systems, RF technology, or inventory systemsIntermediate computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and warehouse systemsBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent operational experienceWork EnvironmentThis position operates primarily in a warehouse environment and regularly works with material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment.About VikingViking Group Inc. supports fire protection contractors across North America through Viking SupplyNet, providing the products, expertise, and support needed to keep projects moving and customers served.Our warehouse and operations teams play a critical role in ensuring materials move safely, accurately, and on time across our network.
