Sign on Bonus / New Facility / All Shifts Available Required Minimum Education and Credential:

• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• ARRT Certification
• Possession of New York State Certification/License as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Registered Technologist status.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Educate patients about the ordered procedures, obtain their medical history, and secure written consent for exams. You will also ensure the completion of appropriate patient safety screening/consent forms to address all necessary safety precautions before procedures.
• Perform imaging procedures following established protocols, closely monitoring patients during examinations and promptly notifying the Radiologist of any reactions or problems that may arise.
• Ensure the production of high-quality images for all completed procedures. This involves reviewing films or sending images to the Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) system, depending on the type of procedure.
• Take an active role in the quality assurance program, assuming responsibility for assigned portions as directed by equipment vendors. You will also maintain competence with Health Information Systems (HIS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Patient History Systems (PHS), and PACS.

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CT/Radiologic Technologist, preferably in a medical setting.
• Proficiency in performing a range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and other radiographic techniques.
• Sound knowledge and understanding of medical imaging equipment, including their setup, operation, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with PACS and other health information systems.
• Strong patient care skills, with the ability to explain procedures, address patient concerns, and ensure their safety during examinations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in capturing and reviewing images for optimal diagnostic results.
• Exceptional organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Professionalism, ethical conduct, and respect for patient confidentiality.
