Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing mental health counselors to provide services from the comfort of their own homes while maintaining flexibility. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments through telehealth consultations to evaluate the mental health needs of patients, enabling the development of tailored treatment plans.
• Deliver short-term individual therapy sessions via video conferencing, actively engaging with patients facing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges.
• Facilitate virtual therapy groups that address critical topics such as stress management, coping strategies, and personal development, foster community among patients and support their growth.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other mental health professionals and primary care providers, to ensure a holistic approach to each patient's care.
• Participate in outreach initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness, providing educational workshops, and improving community engagement.
• Maintain precise and secure patient records, adhering to confidentiality and ethical standards as per state regulations and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Possession of an active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required; a Master’s or Doctoral degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of mental health issues commonly faced by clients in a community health setting, alongside evidence-based therapeutic practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with digital health platforms and teletherapy modalities is essential to facilitate remote sessions effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in community health clinics, hospitals, or similar environments where multi-faceted patient needs are addressed.
• Experience in crisis intervention and providing treatment within diverse populations, focusing on culturally responsive practices.
• Knowledge of addiction counseling, trauma-focused therapies, and evidence-based interventions is highly desirable.
