Duties: Assists professional physical therapist perform physical therapy activities in both the physical therapy area or classroom environment; performs related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be met by the day the application is submitted: Continuing possession of a certificate as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by New York State Department of Education. In lieu of the above, possession of a limited permit to practice at the Nassau Health Care Corporation, Nassau County Board of Cooperative Educational Services, or an appropriate Nassau County school district is acceptable. To qualify, you must submit a copy of the current registration of your license or certificate. You may receive a higher score if you also provide a copy of your original license or certificate.

Preference in appointment may be given to successful candidates who are legal residents and dwellers of the appointing jurisdiction. All claims for application fee waiver are subject to verification.
