Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TNCC, PALS, and ENPC certifications on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Work in a 22-bed Emergency Department staffed with CNCs, PCTs, unit clerks, and RNs on both day and night shifts
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BSN required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Current PALS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience preferred

Additional Information

• Accurately assess patient acuity and assign appropriate triage levels
• Prioritize and organize patient care needs in a timely manner
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement plans of care
• Coordinate diagnostic tests and treatments to ensure timely patient movement through the department
• Maintain flexibility to adapt to changes in patient volume
• Maintain positive, professional relationships with other nursing units and departments
• Royal blue scrub color required for nursing staff
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
• No local candidates will be considered
