Clinical Research Coordinator II - Human Genetics

Handle administrative activities associated with conducting clinical trials Manage research project databases and develop flow sheets and study-related documents Complete source documents and case report forms Provide guidance to less experienced staff Interface with research participants, determine eligibility, and obtain informed consent according to protocol Approve orders for supplies and equipment maintenance Assist with recruitment strategies and conduct participant screenings, interviews, and questionnaires Supervise collection and processing of study specimens Establish case packages for study procedures Monitor procedure scheduling and charges and coordinate other services as needed Ensure compliance with research protocols Review case report forms and audit accuracy against source documents Attend sponsor monitoring meetings Prepare regulatory submissions Perform phlebotomy or diagnostics with appropriate credentialing and training Perform related approved responsibilities as required Requirements High School Diploma or GED and five years of clinical research experience Or two years of college in a scientific, health related, or business administration program and three years clinical research experience Or a licensed practical nurse (LPN) and two years clinical research experience Or a Bachelor's degree in a scientific, health related, or business administration related program and one year of clinical research experience Or a Master's degree, MD or PhD in a scientific, health related or business administration program Preferred: experience with recruitment, coordinating complicated clinical trials, and managing regulatory documents Clinical training requirements must be tracked and monitored through Emory Healthcare under the credentialing category of Clinical Researcher Clinical patient contact and work with laboratory materials, including human blood, body fluids, tissues, or other potentially infectious materials Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in managing clinical trials, including participant recruitment, regulatory submissions, and compliance with research protocols.
