Respiratory Therapist / NurseOffering $25 to $40 per hourLincare is currently seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team. This employee is responsible for the setup of home medical equipment, including ventilators, monitors, CPAP/BiPAP units, and/or other related equipment. The employee will also educate and train patients on the proper usage of prescribed equipment.Comprehensive benefits package with flexible options to fit individual needsAn inclusive, open, and friendly environment focused on associates and their successAmple training and development opportunities that foster personal and professional growthJob ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and provide education on home medical equipment that includes, but is not limited to CPAP/BiPAP machines, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and/or mechanical ventilatorsInspect, test, and adjust home medical equipment to ensure it is functioning safely and efficientlyReview prescription and patient information to assess condition and determine suitable treatment administration, compatible with physician ordersMaintain patient records in a complete and organized manner in compliance with accreditation standardsMaintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy conceptsWork on-call after hours and weekends as neededWork ExperienceLevel 1 - Familiar with equipment and services provided in the home healthcare setting, or other patient care, RequiredLevel 2 - Minimum of two years in home healthcare, RequiredLevel 3 - Minimum of three years in home healthcareMay be involved in training of other Healthcare Specialists, RequiredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent human relations to interface with doctors, other referral sources, and patientsComputer literateClinician authorized within scope of practice (as established by applicable state law or if none, by the applicable national board) to provide all patient care services offered by Lincare from time to timeSubject to state law/regulation, RNs, LPNs, LVNs, paramedics, EMTs, and other clinicians may also be qualified for this positionIf applicable, based on the requirements of state, in addition to a valid state license, current National Board of Respiratory Care Credentials may also be required for CRTs and RRTs.Subject to State requirements and management approval, on an exception basis, a person may be hired that does not meet all the above certifications and training, but practices respiratory therapy as authorized by applicable state lawLicenses and CertificationsMust have completed all training/education required to obtain requisite certification, registration, and/or license described below, RequiredMust remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state and/or national board governing clinical practice or as otherwise permitted by lawIn all states, CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position, RequiredLincare offers employees a variety of competitive benefits that include ongoing training and advancement opportunities.
