Falcon, Quality Control Inspector – 2nd Shift (Chattanooga, TN) Overview West Star Aviation is the fastest growing maintenance repair organization in the industry. Join us as a Quality Control Inspector on the 2nd shift (Monday‑Thursday, 3 pm‑1 am). Shift incentives include a 10‑15 % premium, paid lunch, 3‑day weekends, formal airframe training, and eligibility to transfer to the 1st shift after 3 years. Key Responsibilities Maintain West Star Aviation’s quality standards by inspecting technician work, performing “ok to close,” and auditing. Ensure proper sign‑offs in Corridor as part of the inspection process. Participate in daily review meetings. Assist with airframe inspections. Follow up with all departments to ensure steps are signed off, inspected, and closed so airframe squawks can be completed. Help manage the Equipment Removal and Installation Log. Assist QA Department with log research issues to help clear items that are in question. Maintain daily contact with aircraft and Team Leaders to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain a customer‑oriented work habit. Effectively and clearly communicate in English (speak, write, read). Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned. Education High school diploma or equivalent. A&P License or Repairman Certificate (required). Inspection Authorization (IA) rating is recommended. Valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal but not required. Experience & Qualifications 3 years turbine aircraft inspection experience with return‑to‑service authority required. Familiar with all facets of aircraft manuals required to maintain aircraft. Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations. Customer service experience recommended. Follow all company rules and FAA regulations during performance of duties. Maintain a customer‑oriented work habit. The Team & Work Environment Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to perform in a fast‑paced environment. Good written and verbal communication skills. Reliability in attendance, including overtime and weekend assignments. High degree of accuracy in data entry and documentation. Excellent coordination of projects and schedules. Minimal supervision required. Physical and Mental Requirements Lift and carry at least 25 lbs.; bend, reach, and stoop around aircraft. Sit at desk and/or computer for extended periods; routine walking. Prioritize and control workload; work professionally with others. Interpret and communicate regulations with Quality Department personnel. Working Conditions The majority of work will be performed in a hangar environment that can include both hot and cold temperatures. Some occasional work outside hangars may occur. Equipment Used Computer systems including Corridor Aviation Service software, Windows PCs, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant programs.
