What You'll Do as a CDL Passenger Driver:

Passenger Transportation

• Safely transport passengers throughout the Kansas City area along assigned routes and schedules.
• Provide dependable and efficient transportation services while ensuring passenger comfort.
• Maintain professional driving practices and comply with all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
• Adjust to changing traffic conditions, route modifications, and service needs.
• Ensure passengers arrive safely and on time.

Customer Service

• Deliver friendly, professional, and courteous service on every trip.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles when necessary.
• Provide support to passengers with mobility needs while maintaining safety and dignity.
• Communicate route, schedule, and service information clearly and professionally.
• Represent zTrip with a customer-first attitude and commitment to service excellence.

Vehicle Safety & Operations

• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and passenger-ready vehicle.
• Safely operate wheelchair lifts, ramps, and accessibility equipment when required.
• Report maintenance concerns, accidents, incidents, and safety issues promptly.
• Work closely with dispatch and operations teams to maintain reliable service.

Qualifications of a CDL Passenger Driver:

Required

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Passenger (P) Endorsement
• Clean Driving Record
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Dependable, professional, and punctual
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

• Experience operating shuttle buses, transit buses, motorcoaches, paratransit vehicles, or other passenger transportation vehicles
• Previous experience in transportation, hospitality, customer service, or related industries
• Familiarity with wheelchair lifts, accessibility equipment, and passenger assistance procedures
