Occupational Therapist (PRN)

Horizon Health Corporation is seeking an Occupational Therapist (Behavioral Health) to work on the inpatient psychiatric units in Grand Forks, ND. The Occupational Therapist services to patients in an efficient and professional manner. Therapy will be completed in accordance with the patient's developmental, psychological, and physical level of function. Therapists will exemplify ethical conduct as described in the facility mission statement and the North Dakota Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners Code of Ethics.

Responsibilities include: Complying with all Administrative, Clinical, and Human Resources policies and procedures and maintaining a safe work environment. Actively supporting the mission, philosophy, and goals for the hospital. Communicating with sensitivity to growth, development, and cultural issues. Providing individual and group therapy to patients and family education when indicated. Providing OT evaluations of patients. Documenting all clinical services provided. Providing consultation on OT related problems, specific treatment techniques, and other programming issues. Promoting an understanding of OT principles and team involvement in patient care. Participating in departmental meetings. Maintaining professional demeanor in dress, attitude, support of unit milieu, and hospital mission and philosophy. Participating in performance improvement. Being compliant with all mandatory training. Other duties as assigned.
