As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Full Time in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment while responding to security-related concerns and working collaboratively with site personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology and media location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate security-related logs and reports.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazardous conditions, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
