Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a MS/Tele position at a short-term acute care hospital in Lancaster, SC, requiring prior travel nursing experience and an active SC or Compact RN license.

Details

• Works in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit at a 97-bed short-term acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (7p–7a)
• Patient ratio of 1:6 to 1:7
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to like units with like patients may be required based on facility needs
• Charting via Epic EMR
• Parking is provided at no cost

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or Compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have an active license prior to start
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Experience with telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of dysrhythmias preferred
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Modules must be completed prior to start date; access to modules is typically available the Wednesday before the start date
• Attendance at staff meetings is required
• Candidates who were previously permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
• Non-local candidates are prioritized; local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are accepted but at a reduced rate
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local
• During hurricane season (June–November, with peak activity in August and September), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Royal Blue scrubs required
