Position: Program Supervisor Levittown

Location: Langhorne, PA

Department:  

Qualifications (Education and Experience):

This position requires a high school diploma and minimum of 1 years experience in the mental health field. Experience supervising staff. Knowledge and skill in management of life skills activities and socialization skills development for persons with mental illness as well as valid driver’s license is also required. This position requires experience working with adult women with significant mental illness in a residential setting. The supervisor is present in the setting Mondays through Friday, and works a 9-5 schedule.

Description:

Motivate and support residents of the Levittown Aging in Place residential program to support basic adult daily living skills, manage complex medical and mental health challenges. Staff supervision, staff supervision, resident engagement and supports are a vital part of this position, as well as collaboration with treatment team members and community supports. 

Duties:

• Provides scheduled weekly supervision for staff
• Facilitates resident monthly meetings
• Meets with the Director of Residential Services on a weekly basis for training and supervision
• Responsible to assure provision of programmatic activities that enhance life skills. 
• Familiarize self with residents’ history, hospitalization course and treatment plans.
• Completes all necessary and required documentation for residents and as needed to collaborate with other resident supports.
• Able to communicate successfully by email.
• Has the capability to work successfully and independently in the EHR.
• Assists with training to staff with the support of the Director of Residential services.
• Obtain information from residents and other members of the treatment team as it directly relates to present behavior. Collaborate/share information to appropriate members of the team
• Provide individual guidance and on-site crisis intervention with residents when appropriate
• Share pertinent matters of residents’ financial affairs with team members and Administrative Supervisor P
• Provide supportive service for residents undergoing medical and clinical treatment. Act as a liaison with social service agencies, clinics, and community resources in planning to effectively meet the needs of the residents and assisting the people in utilizing these resources as instructed by the Director of Residential.
• Prepare reports, send letters, and keep records as assigned.
• Perform work in accordance with established regulation, policies and procedures of program and PMHC
• Ability to work effectively with people and assist them to grow in the constructive utilization of their capabilities and adjustments to their specific problems
• Ability to plan, organize, and adapt activities to the specific needs of individual residents
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, families and professional colleagues
• Ability to observe resident behavior and report on it in keeping with the codes of confidentiality
• Ability to express ideas clearly and both orally and written
• Supervise staff assigned to the program. This includes scheduling, resident appointments, coverage and the oversight of the safety and health of residents.
• Performs related duties as required/assigned.

Physical Requirements:

This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting, sitting on the floor or performing other work requiring low physical exertion, ability to move quickly in a crisis situation, talking and hearing on a regular basis, ability to drive agency vehicles to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 80% of the time.
