Weekend Group Therapist (State Licensure Required)

The Role As a Weekend Group Therapist, you will provide therapeutic treatment and counseling to patients, guiding them in the acquisition of skills and strategies for management of mental illness, co‑occurring substance abuse disorders, and associated life stressors. You will perform necessary documentation, develop and facilitate groups, perform departmental support tasks, and assist with patient‑related activities under the supervision of licensed staff. Weekend Group Therapist Essential Duties Collaborate with nursing staff and treatment teams to promote patients’ treatment and recovery Perform necessary documentation, develop and facilitate groups, perform departmental support tasks, and assist with patient‑related activities under the supervision of licensed staff Formulate short‑term goals and interventions for patients based on the results of the Therapeutic Admissions Assessment, consistent with established long‑term goals Work with the treatment team to learn and teach patients’ needs and provide individual interventions for patients with mental illness and/or substance addiction, helping them identify behaviors that impact decompensation patterns and develop realistic strategies to manage symptoms and maintain recovery Report and document any changes observed in condition, mood, affect, and/or behavior of patients The Expertise And Skills You Bring Education and Licensure: COTA, OT, LMHC, LCSW, LADC 1, or LICSW required Experience Ideal candidates are passionate about Haverhill Pavilion’s mission, behavioral health, and are driven by the purpose to assist our patients. We offer tuition reimbursement up to $3,000 per year and a full suite of employee benefits.
