Recycling Coordinator

OUR CLIENT, Modesto Battery Company & Supplies, Inc. is hiring for a Recycling Coordinator position.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Recycling Coordinator , you will be responsible for preparing pallets of junk batteries to meet DOT specifications until we reach 45,000 lbs of scrap batteries for shipment to recycling vendors in a container or 53' FT trailer.

You will also perform a variety of tasks such as:

● Hooking batteries up on chargers daily

● Loading/unloading shipments

●Assist in helping customers with recycling batteries and pay accordingly

● Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Operate a forklift safely and responsibly

● Lift and move batteries weighing 60–80 lbs throughout the day

● Consistently move, lift, and stack batteries

● Load and unload bins of batteries

● Stack batteries on pallets in accordance with DOT shipment rules (Additional details provided during the interview)

PHYSICAL DEMAND & ABILITIES

● Ability to lift up to 80 lbs repeatedly

● Ability to stand, walk, twist, and squat constantly

● Ability to perform physically demanding tasks

WORKING CONDITIONS

● Indoor environments with possible exposure to cold, heat, dust, fumes, and machinery

● Safety equipment (glasses, gloves, etc.) will be required

QUALIFICATIONS

● Must pass a background check and drug test

● Must have proof of ability to work in the United States

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

● Forklift Operation

● Use of manual and electric pallet jacks

●Ability to work independently 

● Strong communication skills to support customer satisfaction

SCHEDULE

● Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:15 PM

● Weekends off

● Local work — no commuting
