Summary

A survey crew chief will manage the field work for different types of land surveys in the local Jacksonville and surrounding areas. Experience in Boundary, Topographic, ATLA & As-Built surveys is required, as well as familiarity with total station and GPS data collection methods. A crew chief should have a high level of leadership and communication skills, as well as a thorough and detail-oriented approach to organizing and completing projects.

Qualifications

• Proficient in GPS technology and land surveying techniques
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience with Trimble data collection methods
• Knowledge of ALTA surveys and construction practices
• Competence in trigonometry and geometry as applied to surveying

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a field crew of survey technicians.
• Complete Boundary, Topographic, and As-built Surveys
• Coordinate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Trimble Survey Equipment and GPS operations.
• Attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Professionalism with clients and contractors.
• Ability to lead a team and effectively communicate instructions and expectations.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
