Business Development Executive
Chemical Distribution | North America | Remote
Our client is a global chemical distribution company seeking a Business Development Executive for its division in North America.
Exciting opportunity for an individual with experience in the chemical industry to join a leading company in a commercial role focused on building profitable business in the chemical markets.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer and supplier relationships, identifying new opportunities, and expanding the company's presence across North America.
Seeking a proactive individual who is well-versed in chemical trading, distributor relationships, pricing strategies, and market dynamics.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Buying and selling chemicals within the company's product portfolio
- Developing new business with various market participants
- Growing existing accounts and identifying new opportunities
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders
- Providing market updates and commercial correspondence
- Monitoring market trends and regional demand
- Collaborating with internal teams to drive sales growth
The successful candidate will possess:
- 5-8+ years of experience in chemical sales or related roles
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and downstream applications
- Track record of creating new business and growing accounts
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business software
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or MBA preferred
