Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Canton, Georgia. This role is based in a dynamic Emergency Department, providing critical care to a diverse patient population presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, utilizing their expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychological, and social aspects, upon arrival in the Emergency Department.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs, medical orders, and established protocols.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, monitoring patient responses and adjusting care as necessary.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other physiological data, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition.
• Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and diagnostic tests.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurses, technicians, and ancillary staff to ensure coordinated and continuous patient care.
• Respond rapidly and effectively to emergency situations, including cardiac arrests, traumas, and respiratory distress.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of recent, direct experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Room (ER) setting.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
