Sr. Infrastructure Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY The Sr. Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for complex aspects of IT related to Core Technology, including desktop, productivity applications, servers and networks. This position provides advanced technical support to internal and external clients including developing technical requirements, procurement, and configuring system to meet these requirements.
This role is working in our North Shore office location 3 days a week. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages and maintains IT environments; assures IT asset, configuration and change management is practiced.
• Provides architectural and design input into business cases during project planning and initiation.
• Provides technical review and approval for all changes proposed in line with the relevant strategy.
• Ensure the quality of root cause analysis efforts for related issues.
• Respond to communications issues with system providers; leads troubleshooting efforts.
• Monitors and analyzes performance and assures that agreed-upon service levels are met for network response time, and availability.
• Develops reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals, and presents information and responds to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
• Aids in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans and maintains current knowledge of plan executables.
• Participates in security solution development; aids in performing security audits, legal discoveries and investigations.
• Conducts in-depth research into emerging technologies and trends.
• Defines, documents and maintains system architecture and standards; designs and implements the future vision and strategy for business systems.
• Develops an integration/separation strategy for acquisitions and divestments.
• Additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field
• Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred
• 8+ years of previous experience in cloud hosting environments performing administration, design, planning and implementation; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Industry Standard certifications preferred.
• Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
• High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
• Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management.
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting. PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk, hear and see.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
