The Role

Pro-Spec Painting Corporation is a commercial and industrial painting contractor in Vineland, NJ, in continuous operation for over 46 years on projects of national prominence: stadiums, convention centers, water treatment facilities, bridges, and industrial plants. We need someone to perform the quantity takeoffs our estimators use to price this work.

This is a focused, office-based role. You will measure material and labor quantities from construction drawings and specifications using eTakeoff (or similar takeoff software). The position is open to an entry-level person who can do the work and to a part-time, working retiree who already does it. This job is based in our Vineland office. It is not remote.

What You Will Do

• Read construction drawings, specifications, and architectural documents

• Perform quantity takeoffs in eTakeoff: square footage, linear footage, counts, material and labor quantities

• Organize takeoff data so the estimators can price the work accurately

• Support the estimating team on bid preparation

• Get familiar with how commercial and industrial coatings work is measured: bridges, water tanks, abrasive blasting, coating and lining systems, wastewater facilities

Who We Are Looking For

• Able to perform quantity takeoff, or able to learn it quickly

• Comfortable with computers and takeoff or estimating software (eTakeoff, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar a plus)

• Good with numbers and accurate with detail

• Reliable and organized

• Local to South Jersey and able to work on-site in our Vineland office (Cumberland, Salem, Gloucester, Atlantic, Cape May, Camden, or Burlington counties)

• Authorized to work in the United States

Experienced, retired estimators, project managers, and takeoff people who want steady part-time hours are encouraged to apply. No specific degree is required. The ability to read drawings and measure accurately matters more.

The Arrangement

• Office-based in Vineland, NJ. Not remote.

• Hourly pay, based on experience.

• Part-time or full-time. Flexible hours are available for the right part-time candidate.
