Maintenance Mechanic

Job TitleEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for a variety of tasks including electrical work, building repair, machinery repair, and rooftop repairInstall, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment. Responsibilities also include building and maintaining mechanical systems and involve the use of a variety of hand and power tools, and testing equipment.Conduct preventive maintenance to mechanical devices.Detect malfunctions through observation (sound or visual)Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality.Repair broken or faulty machine parts.Perform emergency repairs.Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs.Orders materials needed for repairs etcWorks independently regularlyDetects and reports defective and unsafe equipment and materials as well as unusual situations to supervisorObserves and obeys all safety rules, practices, and proceduresWears and employs personal protective equipment as requiredMaintains work area in a neat and orderly mannerPerforms other similar or related duties as required or requestedRegular attendance is always an essential functionPosition Requirements:High School DiplomaFour years experience in a manufacturing settingElectrical experience a mustMust have strong mechanical skillsHave strong math skillsAbility to read and writeGood communication skillsAbility to follow instructionsMust be able to lift up to 40 pounds intermittently.Ability to do repetitive bending, reaching, stretching, lifting, and twisting
