Job Summary: Deliver exceptional healthcare services by utilizing ionizing radiation to produce diagnostic images for licensed practitioners. This role requires professionalism and competence in all radiographic procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, ensuring patient clinical history aligns with the procedure and is properly documented.
• Prepare and instruct patients to achieve optimal imaging results while minimizing anxiety.
• Operate radiography equipment and accessories to complete procedures successfully.
• Position patients to best display the anatomical area of interest, respecting their comfort and abilities.
• Immobilize patients as needed for accurate examinations.
• Determine appropriate radiographic exposure factors and apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper identification is recorded.
• Address both physical and psychological patient needs during procedures.
• Practice aseptic techniques when necessary and perform venipunctures as required.
• Prepare, identify, and administer contrast media as prescribed by licensed practitioners.
• Verify informed consent and assist with interventional and fluoroscopic procedures.
• May perform non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures and assist with urinary catheter anchoring if instructed.
• Initiate basic life support actions when necessary.
• Provide patient education regarding tests and procedures.
• Maintain assigned areas, report equipment malfunctions, and assist with supply management.
• Offer practical instruction to students and healthcare professionals.
• Participate in quality assessment and improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to all applicable standards and policies.
• May participate in on-call duties to provide technical assistance or shift coverage as needed.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiographic Technology.
• Computer proficiency is necessary.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Must hold state certification for radiography.
• Graduate from an accredited radiography program with an active student license at start date.
• Registry eligible and must obtain R.T.(R) ARRT certification within six months of hire.

Work Shift:

Part-time, 32 hours per week, primarily first shift. Regional location: Midwest United States.
