Senior Systems Administrator (Kantata)

Description & Requirements

Maximus is currently seeking a Senior System Administrator . The successful candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) related to Kantata configuration and business processes leveraging Kantata.

This is a remote position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Interact with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand gather, document, and analyze business needs and technical requirements.

- Document the functional and, sometimes, the technical design of the system.

- Supports the design and modification of business systems or IT systems.

- Review and create system documentation and user manuals.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for developing and maintaining system documentation including business process flows, data flows, system configuration and integration documentation.

- Executes ongoing maintenance, evaluates requirements, and configures Kantata as needed and directed to meet evolving business needs.

- Provides support to both business users and technical personnel on the proper use of Kantata relative to their needs.

- Supports all Kantata related system administration activities in Kantata. (maintaining Users, Accounts, licenses, page layouts, report development & changes, custom fields).

- Troubleshoot any issues, gather diagnostics and interact with ServiceNow and/or Kantata ticketing systems and support team

- Run weekly audit reporting and look for anomalies on the platform that may need troubleshooting.

- Maintain user/member and platform data to ensure reporting integrity.

- Proactively reach out to Project team members, resource managers as required when data is out of sync, missing or need attention.

- Escalate when issues cannot be resolved in a timely manner or within SLA.

- Work with Kantata Product Manager on new feature and functionality introduction into the field.

- May assist in training of the platform for new onboard team members.

- Engage the Kantata support team via the platform for incidents or useability questions.

- Work with Product manager to migrate into the new incident and request system with knowledge base development.

- Update the administrative guide as required with new features or updated features.

- Assist the product manager's development and maintain share points with training, communication and best practices.

May also provide support in the following areas:

- Project and user record setup and related data points in Kantata.

- Assist in maintaining user permission strategy to support the needs of the OCDIO teams and other key stakeholders while ensuring data integrity and security.

- Support OCDIO data governance ensuring data accuracy and integrity completing monthly audits to ensure business process rules are being followed and critical data elements are being entered on time (e.g., time tracking audits, billing milestone audits, services invoice payment status reviews, key reporting data points, key financial information and project status audits, project documentation audits, month-end close activities).

- Ensure compliance with Maximus policies, including establishing and maintaining appropriate platform governance controls per direction of management.

- May assist Maximus Learning & Development to keep the training content up to date as changes are made to configuration or processes enabled by Kantata.

- When Kantata is sustainable, we may require assistance in additional product offerings within the Enterprise PMO (example software/tools solutions outside of Kantata).

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 5-7 Years of experience

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

- 5-7 years of related experience.

- Per customer requirements, this position requires United States Citizenship.

- Proven experience in administering SaaS software related to project management, partner management, or resource management.

- Demonstrated analytical abilities to evaluate complex data, identify trends, and resolve issues effectively.

- Must have experience analyzing reports, comparing data across sources, identifying discrepancies, and implementing effective resolutions to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated customer focus.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience working with Mavenlink/Kantata a plus.

- Experience working with Agile Teams a plus.

- Vendor management experience is a plus

- Working knowledge of MS Excel.
