Turn on your shower. Fill up your gas tank. Open a bottle of your favorite drink. Take medication. Grab something out of the refrigerator.

There are industrial processes behind nearly everything we use, eat, drink, and depend on every day. And somewhere along the way, someone needs to know exactly what's happening inside those processes.

How much liquid is moving through a pipe? Is there enough pressure? Is a tank getting too full? Is something getting too hotor not hot enough?

Most of us never think about those things.

KOBOLD does.

We develop and manufacture instruments that measure flow, pressure, level, and temperaturehelping the companies that make, move, process, and produce the things we use every day keep their operations running safely, efficiently, and accurately.

And when those customers call KOBOLD with a question, need pricing on a part, want to know when something is available, or need help figuring out what comes next?

You'll be one of the first people they talk to.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, is comfortable picking up the phone, and wants to build a career in a technical industry.

WHAT YOUR DAYS WILL ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE ?

You'll serve as the first level of support for our customers, communicating regularly over the phone and through email with buyers, purchasing professionals, applications engineers, and the people actually using the equipment. You need to be comfortable picking up the phone, asking follow-up questions, working through a problem, and collaborating with the people around you.

A prospective customer might call looking for a product recommendation. A current customer might need an order update. Someone else may have a technical problem that needs to be escalated to engineering before a quote can be produced. You'll also support our outside sales team with quoting and opportunity management, actively managing competing priorities at various stages.

You'll need to know what needs attention now, what needs follow-up, what needs engineering support, and what can't afford to sit unanswered. An opportunity worth $1,000 deserves a response. So does one worth $25,000. You'll need to prioritize intelligently without allowing smaller opportunities, customer questions, or follow-ups to disappear.

A typical day might include answering incoming calls and emails, checking pricing and product availability, preparing quotes, following up on open requests, helping with order questions, supporting the outside sales team, and making sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle.

Think first-line customer support + straightforward quoting + pricing/availability + a clear path into more technical work.

THIS ROLE IS A GREAT FIT IF ?

You like helping people.

You're comfortable talking on the phone and don't need a script for every conversation.

You're organized enough to keep track of multiple customer requests without letting things fall through the cracks.

And when you don't know something, your instinct is to ask questions and learnnot avoid it because it feels unfamiliar.

You don't need years of industrial sales experience or an engineering degree to be successful here.

Experience in customer support, inside sales, sales support, order management, manufacturing, distribution, industrial products, or another B2B environment could translate well.

Maybe you've worked for a manufacturer or distributor and regularly helped customers with pricing, parts, orders, or product questions.

Maybe you've been in customer service or sales support and are ready for something with more room to learn and grow.

Or maybe you have some technical exposure and want an opportunity to build on it.

What's more important is that you're comfortable learning technical information, communicating clearly with customers, and taking ownership of getting them an answer.

We're not expecting you to be the technical expert on day one.

You'll have experienced people around you who can help with the complicated stuff.

But if you're curious, pay attention, and keep asking questions, we expect the amount you can handle independently to grow considerably.

WHERE THIS ROLE CAN GO ?

We don't want someone answering the same basic questions forever.

You'll start by becoming really good at the fundamentals: understanding our products, navigating pricing and availability, preparing straightforward quotes, learning our customers, and recognizing when something needs to be escalated.

As your product knowledge grows, so will the complexity of the work you can take on.

You'll begin handling more involved quotes, asking better technical questions, understanding customer applications, and solving more problems without needing someone else to step in.

For the right person, this can become a foundation for a longer-term career in technical customer support, inside sales, or another customer-facing role within KOBOLD.

LOCATION ?

This is an onsite role in Robinson, Pennsylvania.

Being together matters, especially while you're learning.

KOBOLD has a large product portfolio and decades of technical knowledge inside the building. When a customer asks something you haven't encountered before, you'll be able to turn to experienced inside salespeople and technical resources and learn from them in real time.

Regular working hours are 8:00 AM4:45 PM.

You'll support customers nationwide, but no travel is required.

COMPENSATION ?

The base salary for this position is $60,000$75,000 , depending on experience. KOBOLD offers additional earning opportunities through quarterly company-performance bonuses and a year-end bonus.

Benefits include medical coverage with approximately 80% of the employee premium covered by KOBOLD, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
