Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Orthopedic The Orthopedic In-Patient Unit is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse patient population, including both adult and pediatric orthopedic cases. Position Information:
- Department: Orthopedic In-Patient Unit
- Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Guaranteed Weekly Hours: 36
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
- Float Requirements: Yes
- Deliver patient-centered care to individuals with orthopedic conditions.
- Coordinate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care as necessary.
- Utilize traction equipment and electronic health records (EHR) for documentation.
- Education: Valid nursing degree from an accredited program.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a preference for orthopedic care.
- Certifications: BLS and PALS certifications are required prior to start.
- Unit Capacity: 18 beds
- Patient Ratios: 5 patients per nurse
- Common Diagnoses: Fractures and other orthopedic conditions.
- Equipment Used: Traction systems and Meditech EHR.
- Airbnb accommodations
