Torch Operator

Job Description

This is an entry-level opportunity at a large commercial metal recycling facility. Employees will work in a hot, dirty, physically demanding environment with primarily outdoor work.

New employees generally spend their first couple of days shadowing experienced employees and assisting with sorting, sweeping, cleanup, and other entry-level duties.

Working in very hot conditions
Primarily outdoor work and exposure to the elements
A dirty, industrial recycling environment
Physically demanding work
Wearing a protective suit once medically cleared
Frequent bending, twisting, crouching, standing, and walking
Lifting up to 50 lbs
Working around heavy equipment and industrial recycling operations
