Dietitian – Inpatient Care (0.6 FTE, Day shift) Providence Medford Medical Center seeks a Registered Dietitian to provide expert inpatient nutrition care. The role involves conducting thorough assessments, developing personalized nutrition plans, and delivering medical nutrition therapy to improve patient health outcomes in collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Responsibilities Conduct thorough nutrition assessments using the Nutrition Care Process and Terminology (NCPT). Perform nutrition-focused physical examinations and interpret results. Identify nutrition diagnoses and order nutrition and diet orders. Design, implement, and evaluate nutrition care plans for patients at nutrition risk or malnourished. Provide medical nutrition therapy and professional nutrition counseling to patients, families, and the community. Collaborate closely with the departmental and interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure nutrition interventions align with patient‑centered medical goals. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, or a related area from a U.S. regionally accredited college or university (foreign equivalent accepted). Master’s degree is required only for candidates entering the workforce after 1/1/2024. Completion of required dietetics coursework and supervised practice through a Didactic Program in Dietetics and Dietetic Internship or Coordinated Program in Dietetics accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). Upon hire, obtain National CDR Registered Dietitian – Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months (180 days) of hire. Obtain Oregon Dietitian License within 6 months (180 days) of hire. One year of experience with current adult learning theory in relation to nutrition education. One year of experience with nutrition management of multiple disease states. Preferred Qualifications One year of experience managing nutrition in a clinical setting. One year of experience providing medical nutrition therapy. Pay Range $31.35 – $48.68 per hour (additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, overtime, or bonuses).
