Job Summary Hotel Equities, a multi-award‑winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for its Hotel Northland in Green Bay, WI. The role involves cleaning and preparing guest rooms and public areas to meet established cleanliness and propriety standards, ensuring guest satisfaction and maximizing revenue. Responsibilities Retrieve items from shelves and storerooms, set up and maintain clean cleaning carts, and keep storerooms orderly. Clean and wipe windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways, including use of ladders or stools for hard‑to‑reach areas. Wash shower walls, tubs, toilets, and other bathroom fixtures to maintain sanitary restrooms. Replace towels, soaps, and all room amenities; restock removed or torn literature. Wash hard floor areas (linoleum, tile, etc.) by hand to remove dirt. Dust and polish all furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings; use a duster for vents and ceiling corners. Strip beds of all linen, remake the beds with fresh bedding, and inspect mattresses for soil. Check room closets for cleanliness and restock supplies such as hangers, blankets, and pillows. Vacuum rooms, public areas, and hallways, including furniture and under‑floor spaces. Inspect door and window locks for proper function and report any security issues to management. Check room equipment (TV, lights, faucets, radios) for proper operation and report deficiencies to the Executive Housekeeper. Safeguard keys, equipment, and supplies at all times to protect hotel property. Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor with guests and staff. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Assist the laundry department by retrieving, sorting, folding, and distributing linen throughout the hotel. Clean patio and balcony areas, sweep or hose floors, wipe furniture and fixtures, and dispose of garbage. Provide assistance to other employees and departments to support overall hotel performance. Qualifications and Requirements High School diploma, secondary qualification, or equivalent. Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or other hospitality cleaning standards. Ability to perform the following: Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, cleaning product use, and standard equipment operation. Vision to spot minute debris and read written instructions or print‑outs. Upper‑body strength to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently during an 8‑hour shift. Dexterity to push, pull, and move levers, equipment, and furniture throughout the shift. Capability to work with arms raised above the head throughout the shift. Ability to maneuver a fully loaded maid cart (up to 50 lbs.) through hallways and storage areas during the workday. Proficiency with basic residential cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, carpet cleaning machines, cleaning carts, ladders/stepping stools, and commercial washers, dryers, and pressers. Exposure to hazardous chemicals on a continual basis. Capacity for prolonged strenuous physical activity in indoor climate‑controlled environments, including handling heat and humidity in laundry areas.
