Environmental, Operations and Construction (EOC) operates within HDR’s Federal Business Group, capable of delivering services across all HDR business groups at any location. Our work is performed by our professional staff, scientists and engineers at remote sites, embedded in client office space or our own facilities. EOC delivers quality engineering, environmental, and construction management services at competitive prices. In the role of Facilities Construction Inspector II, we'll count on you to: Demonstrate familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes for buildings and facilities Conduct inspection of electrical, mechanical/HVAC and site civil Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses Provide guidance to less-experienced field staff as needed Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications A minimum of 5 years' experience Technical school or college degree Relevant Industry Certifications Ability to interpret construction schedules Required Qualifications Requires high school diploma or equivalent. (Candidates with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute experience for a high school diploma) A minimum of 3 years experience Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must HDR's Drug and Alcohol Policy supports our commitment to employee safety and exceeding client requirements.
