Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.Ideal candidate would be in the surrounding area of Spencer and Spirit Lake with a 30 minute on-call response time for both Spencer Hospital and Lakes Regional Hospital. This position is staffed by Spencer Hospital and will share call duties with Lakes Regional.Responsibilities:Responsible for the operation of diagnostic ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision, according to the medical direction of the radiologistMust provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting filmsThe sonographer will adopt the missions of the Hospital and Radiology DepartmentExercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethicsProvides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedureRequirements:Graduate from an approved school of Medical SonographyAmerican Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or registry eligibleRegistered sonographer with ARDMSSchedule:PRN availability for 9 hour variable day shifts - must be flexibleScheduled on-call rotation for weekend nights and weekendsRotating on-call holidaysThe schedule may fluctuate based upon needs of the departmentSpencer Hospital offers competitive wages, affordable insurance, IPERS retirement, in-house education, paid time off, family gym membership and so much more!Please contact Spencer Hospital Human Resources for any questions at View phone number on click.appcast.io or email View email address on click.appcast.io.
