Speech-Language Pathologist Speech-Language Pathologist for 2026-27 SY- Alcorn Central Elementary JobID: 1480 Position Type: Support Staff Date Posted: 4/22/2026 Location: Alcorn Central Elementary School Date Available: 07/01/2026 Job Summary The School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The SLP works collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support students' communication skills and ensure access to the academic curriculum. Key Responsibilities Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for eligible students Provide direct therapy services (individual and group sessions) Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student outcomes Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Provide consultation and strategies to classroom staff for supporting communication needs Assist with Response to Intervention (RTI) processes when applicable Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., IDEA) Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or required Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Public or private school setting Work with students from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of ability Additional Duties Provide professional development or training to staff (as needed) Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology Perform other duties as assigned by administration #J-18808-Ljbffr
