RN-Registered Nurse $1,267 weekly stipends $31/hour $1,116 weekly base pay Onsite Contract Starts 10/19/2026 18 weeks Day Shift 12 hours/day 3 days/week Job Title: Float Pool Registered Nurse Duration: 18 Weeks Location: 196 North St, Geneva, NY 14456 Schedule: Days | 3×12-hour shifts | 36 hours/week Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Weekend/Holiday: Every Other Weekend (EOW) & Holiday Rotation On-Call: 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks Position Overview Seeking an experienced Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) who is comfortable providing patient care across multiple units, including Medical/Surgical, Medical-Surgical Telemetry (MST), ICU, and Emergency Department . The RN must have critical care experience and be willing and able to float to different units based on facility needs and competency. Unit/Float Requirements Must be comfortable floating between: Medical/Surgical Medical-Surgical Telemetry (MST) Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Emergency Department (ER) May float between Geneva General Hospital and Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital as needed Must be able to care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations 2 on-call shifts required per 4-week period Active New York State RN License BSN – Required Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, and/or Critical Care Critical care experience required Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and interpersonal skills Required Certifications BLS – AHA or RQI ACLS – AHA or RQI PALS – AHA or RQI NIHSS Additional Certifications/Requirements Basic Coronary Care: Required within 6 months of hire CPI Certification: Required within 90 days of hire TNCC: Recommended within 2 years of hire Emergency Nurses Association certification: Recommended within 2 years of hire Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred Microsoft Office experience preferred Professional Expectations Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Provide professional and courteous patient care Effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Promote teamwork and a positive work environment Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the facility's Healing Environment principles Promote patient safety, dignity, respect, and well-being Provide age-appropriate care based on each patient's developmental and clinical needs Candidate Questions Have you previously worked for URMC or any URMC-affiliated location ?
