Night PM Technician - Detroit, MI

Recycle Waste Services (RWS) is a local, family-owned company. We are excited to add to our growing team! We are hiring a PM Technician. A PM Technician must be able to perform necessary preventative maintenance, according to our preventative maintenance schedule. Must be able to identify additional needed repairs and communicate the repairs to the shop manager for addition to the schedule of repairs. This individual will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of equipment from yellow iron to multiple types of trailers, late model diesel semis, and more. There is never a dull moment, and plenty of opportunity to learn, grow, and gain new skills while on the job. DUTIES Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment. Must be able to lift heavy objects to perform daily tasks. Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions. Use basic hand tools and precision instruments, as well as power tools. Document and upload pictures of work performed, parts used, and all findings observed on Repair Orders. Work with a high degree of independence. Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most standard repair times. Communicate with co-workers, management, and support team. Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health, and environmental policies, and federal regulations, to include OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
