The compensation schedule is based on the collective bargaining agreement.The primary responsibilities of the Aircraft Maintenance Technician is ensuring the ongoing airworthiness of the Sun Country Airlines fleet of aircraft. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential Roles and Responsibilities:Troubleshoot and repair aircraft to Sun Country Airlines standardsCorrectly complete paperwork for maintenance performed on aircraftEnter all log items, NRTCs, and task cards into TRAXIdentify and report problems that could impact daily maintenance operationsCommunicate with Maintenance Station Supervisor during all maintenance proceduresMaintain an up-to-date OJT fileAssist with training of newly hired individuals, as necessaryAccomplish housekeeping of maintenance facilities, as requiredMove and park aircraft as operations warrantMove and position ground equipment as needed for the maintenance operationConduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country AirlinesRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentA&P license requiredAcceptable driving record requiredMust be highly motivated and a self-starterExcellent communication, organizational, problem-solving skillsWork effectively with minimal supervision under stressful situationsQualified candidates must pass a criminal history background check as well as a pre-employment drug testMust have a valid driver's licenseMust be able to obtain SIDA badgePreferred Qualifications:2 years line maintenance preferred2 years 737NG jet experience preferred737NG Familiarization Class preferred2 years experience in aircraft structural repair preferredValid US Passport preferredCompensation: $38.75 USD per hour along with shift differentials and sign-on bonus. This is the base compensation hiring range for this role.Classification: Full-time, Non-exemptWorking Location: This position is open in Minneapolis, MNSupervisory Responsibility: NoneWork Environment: This job operates in the maintenance hangar and ramp area. This role is routinely exposed to all weather elements.Physical Demands: Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds.
