Respiratory Therapist (RRT-NICU)

Respiratory Therapist (RRT-NICU) Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: State licensure required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, RRT, NRP preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required NICU experience required Description: RRT position for 4x12-hour shifts with no call. Rotation is either every other weekend or every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). First time travelers accepted. 1 year of experience is required. ACLS, BLS, RRT, and state licensure are required. NRP certification is preferred. Epic experience is required for this position. NICU experience is necessary. Additional skills include adult critical care, emergency department experience, transports, direct intubation, and extubation. Familiarity with nasal airway placement and suctioning, tracheostomy, ARDS, aspiration, bronchoscopy, COVID, cystic fibrosis, pneumonia, medication administration, and oxygen therapy is essential. Experience with ventilator management, neonatal, and pediatric equipment/procedures is preferred but not required. Candidates should wear blue scrubs. Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Travelers will need to complete an OSHA Respirator Clearance, which will incur a cost. Travelers must shave for mask fitting to ensure proper seal. No exemptions for mask fitting will be accepted. All clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler. A 6-month break must be taken to return. Modules are not billable and hours may vary. Modules are completed prior to starting and will be recorded on transcripts.
