Details IMCU unit with 16-10 beds Patient ratio of 1 to 4 Patient population includes sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, and encephalopathy Manages heparin drips Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week No on-call responsibilities Block scheduling not typically approved 4 weekend shifts required per month Requirements Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience required High-acuity, high-volume trauma center experience required Proven experience managing critical, fast-paced situations in large-scale trauma environments Experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals not considered Additional Information Provide progressive/intermediate care nursing to a complex, high-acuity patient population Level 1 trauma center environment with high-volume, diverse case mix Mandatory holiday coverage required: either Thanksgiving Day or the day after Thanksgiving, and either Christmas Eve/Christmas Day or New Year's Eve/New Year's Day Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel rate American Traveler Job ID P-757456.
