Construction Project Manager

Portland, OR


Pay:
$90,000 - $120,000 annually (DOE)


Schedule:
Full-time | Monday - Friday
Who We Are:
We are partnering with a successful and well-established commercial general contractor in the Portland Metro area known for delivering high-quality construction projects across multiple sectors. Their portfolio includes Higher Education, Student Housing, K-12 Schools, Office, Recreational, and Retail developments .


This team moves quickly, collaborates closely, and takes pride in delivering excellent results. Due to a strong project pipeline, they are looking for a Project Manager who can jump in immediately, take ownership of projects, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead preconstruction planning and coordinate project startup activities

  • Manage estimating and subcontractor bidding processes

  • Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines

  • Oversee commercial construction projects from planning through completion

  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams

  • Track budgets, timelines, and project milestones

  • Collaborate with field staff, leadership, and clients

  • Identify and resolve challenges to keep projects moving forward

What You Need to Have:
  • 6-10 years of general contracting project management experience

  • Proven success managing negotiated GMP commercial building projects

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
The Musts:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Experience with Timberline

  • Experience with Primavera or MS Project

  • Experience with Bluebeam

  • Strong problem-solving ability, flexibility, and leadership
Preferred:
  • Experience managing Higher Education, K-12, Housing, Office, Recreational, or Retail construction projects

  • Strong subcontractor and vendor management experience

  • Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion
