CT Technologist

Location: Hoquiam, WA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday - 1500 to 2330

Job Description: The CT Technologist, under the direction of the Radiology Manager and the Radiologist, performs computerized Tomography procedures, including those of an invasive nature. Utilizing a Toshiba Aquilon 64 slice scanner, the technologist positions and instructs patients, operates specialized equipment, and determines technical exposure factors. Consistent quality patient care and correct marking/labeling of all films are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform computerized Tomography procedures.
• Position and instruct patients for imaging procedures.
• Operate specialized imaging equipment, ensuring safety and quality patient care.
• Mark/label films accurately and consistently.
• Take call as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an approved AMA school of Radiology.
• Registered ARRT certification required.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy is essential.
• Two years of diagnostic experience is desirable.
• Ability to lift, move, and transport patients and equipment as specified.
• Good stamina, flexibility, and manual dexterity required for operating delicate equipment.
• Computer skills necessary for effective operation.
• Demonstrates accurate judgment and decision-making ability consistent with radiology knowledge.
