About the Role:

The CNA/CMA Floater plays a critical role in providing flexible and comprehensive patient care across multiple units or departments within a healthcare facility. This position requires adaptability to various clinical settings, ensuring that patient needs are met promptly and efficiently regardless of location. The floater supports nursing staff by delivering direct care, assisting with medical procedures, and monitoring patient conditions to promote optimal health outcomes. By maintaining high standards of care and communication, the CNA/CMA Floater helps to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency. Ultimately, this role ensures continuity of care and supports the healthcare team in delivering exceptional service throughout the facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification recognized in the United States.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA or CMA training program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated ability to perform essential clinical skills and patient care tasks safely and effectively.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working as a CNA or CMA in multiple clinical settings such as acute care, long-term care, or outpatient clinics.
• Additional certifications such as CPR instructor or specialized clinical training.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation software.
• Strong interpersonal skills with experience in patient education and support.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support.
• Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and assisting with medical procedures under the supervision of nursing staff.
• Adapt quickly to different units or departments, understanding and following specific protocols and workflows unique to each area.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to report changes in patient condition and ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and observations in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
