Position: MS/Tele Float RN (Nights)

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a night shift position that includes a mix of medical-surgical and telemetry responsibilities. This role requires flexibility to float to various units as needed.

Shift Details

Type: Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required (Sunday night is not considered a weekend)

Job Responsibilities

Provide nursing care primarily in the Med-Surg unit, with potential floating to Telemetry, Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU), and Department of Observation Unit (DOU)
Monitor and interpret patient conditions, including dysrhythmias
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Provide care for patients with feeding tubes, central lines, and peripheral lines
Perform tasks related to wound care, IV starts, and oxygen administration
Follow infection control practices and isolation precautions
Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record

Patient Ratios

DOU: 1 nurse to 3 patients
ARU: 1 nurse to 5 patients

Required Qualifications

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar nursing role with previous charge experience preferred
Skills:
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Blood product administration
- Central and peripheral line care
- Mechanical ventilation support
- Wound care and management

Patient Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics
Daily Census: 30 beds
Interdisciplinary Support: Access to IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
