WhatYou’llDo CPA isseekinga detail-oriented and highly motivated professionalto joinCPA’s Customer Programs team.The Project Manager, Load Flexibility will oversee key aspects of program implementationand delivery, including coordinating program enrollment,monitoringproject progress,implementing program enhancements,coordinating with implementation vendors,and managing stakeholder communications.Initially,this role will focus onthe EV Smart Charge and Power ResponseNon-Residentialprograms, butmay expand to support other load flexibility programs and initiatives as needed. This role will providecross-programcoordinationfor day-to-day activitiesrelated to the portfolio of load flexibility programs to helpensurealignment and consistency.Thisincludesoptimizationand streamliningofevent and load modification strategies,and communication withvendorsand customers. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally withteams including but not limited toCustomer Programs, Customer Care, Regulatory Affairs, Government Affairs, Strategic Accounts,Load Forecasting,and Communications and Marketing to support program implementation and advance CPA’s clean energy initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities Project Management: Lead the administration of load flexibilityprogram enrollment processes,oversee project invoicing and tracking of deliverables, and coordinate project reporting. Manage program tracking systems and reporting related to performance metrics, budgets, contractor scopes of work, and deliverables to ensure compliance andtimelyachievement of program goals. Develop and refine operational processes,manage customer survey efforts,analyzestakeholderand customer feedback, and implement improvements to enhance program performance and efficiency. Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships withcustomers, member agencies,vendors,and key stakeholders to support successful program implementation. Coordinate program activities across internal teams and external partners,facilitatingcommunication and resolving operational issues as they arise. Prepare and present program updates, budget summaries, and program design recommendations to internal leadership and partners. Subject Matter Expertise: Track industry best practices and emerging market trends to informthe development and implementation of load flexibility programs, includingbut not limited toPower ResponseandEV Smart Charge.Identifyopportunities to enhance program offerings and contribute to program planning by developing project plans, timelines, and implementation strategies for new and ongoing initiatives. Strategic Analysis: Oversee the tracking and evaluation of program performance metrics.Develop andmaintainreports, dashboards, and analysesthat provide operational insights and recommendations to support program improvements. Analyze program outcomes and operational data to inform program improvements and support decision-making related to implementation activities and program effectiveness. Data Analytics: Manage the collection, analysis, and communication of project data to support program oversight and strategic planning. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop data collection approaches and reporting frameworks that support program management, including Board and Committee reporting,internal program updates,and decision making. Marketing and Customer Acquisition: Collaborate with marketing and community outreach teams to develop and implement strategies that support customer recruitment and participation in CPA programs. Contribute to the development of outreach materials and messaging targeted to key audiences to increase program awareness and participation. Otherduties asassigned. Must be able to work at a desk and on a computer for prolonged periods. Strong understanding of EV managed charging, smart thermostats, solar, home batteries, and other flexible load solutionsis preferred. Specific experience in CCA or utility program/project implementation, knowledge of resiliency and grid management, electrification, and/or local energy procurementis preferred. Qualifications Candidates must have a bachelor’s degreein a related fieldandaminimumof 3 yearsof work experienceworking on programs and initiatives to advance load flexibility, such as demand response, distributed energy resources (DERs), virtual power plants (VPPs), and/or EV managed charging. Work Location This position is eligible for either Hybrid or Remote options. The Hybrid option requires attendance in our Downtown Los Angeles office on a full-time basis2-3days per week on daysdeterminedby CPA, with work location on the remaining days either in office or remote. This includes a transportation allowance. The Remote option requires you to be available to attend full-time inoffice days and/or field events within Los Angeles and Ventura Countiesin accordance withthe needs of the company that may start as early as 8:30am at least 2 days per week. The Remote & Hybrid options require full-time in-person attendance at organization or team-wide events 3 times per year for 3-5 days per event. All staffare required towork during CPA’s office hours Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm PST. Thesalary range for this position is$104,355.24-$156,532.35, with exact compensation to bedeterminedby Clean Power Alliance, dependent on experience.
