Work Environment

As a full-time Physical Therapist, you will work onsite at our comprehensive rehabilitation facility, providing hands-on therapy and intervention. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability and enhancing functional capacity, which includes assessing and refining client treatment based on individual needs.
• Utilize diagnostic techniques to evaluate clients’ physical abilities and create customized intervention strategies to relieve pain and improve muscle function.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants during treatment, ensuring implementation of care plans adheres to evidence-based practices and therapeutic best practices.
• Conduct thorough assessments of the home environment to recommend modifications that enhance clients’ independence and maximize their rehabilitation potential.
• Administer manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises, instructing clients in both manual and non-manual exercises to promote recovery.
• Prepare detailed clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and promoting transparent communication among the treatment team.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to contribute to case planning and treatment evaluations, ensuring a coordinated approach to patient care.
• Advise and educate clients and their families about physical therapy regimens, equipping them with the knowledge and tools needed for successful home-based rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will primarily work with a diverse patient population representing various age groups and rehabilitation needs. Clients may include those recovering from surgical procedures, individuals with chronic pain conditions, or those seeking to improve mobility post-injury. Your expertise will play a critical role in addressing each client's unique challenges and facilitating their recovery process.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• An active and unencumbered Physical Therapist license in Virginia is essential.
• Proven track record of effective communication and patient interaction capabilities.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and treatment planning.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a rehabilitation facility and familiarity with EMR systems, particularly Web PT, is a plus.
• Demonstrated competencies in administering various manual therapy techniques and creating effective exercise programs tailored for clients.
• Knowledge of current, evidence-based therapeutic practices is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
