Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision and coordination of day-to-day activities and employees of the maintenance and janitorial departments. They will determine priorities, work assignments, and methods required to meet facility needs while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety and environmental regulations. Key Activities / Responsibilities Supervises all personnel across the Maintenance and Janitorial groups, including selection, supervision, development, work schedules, overtime, employee complaints, concerns, disciplinary activities, and training needs. Ensures equipment is maintained and operational to company standards. Assists and supports maintenance personnel with expertise in completing work orders in a timely manner. Manages preventative maintenance schedule on critical equipment and systems. Leads projects to support operational metrics of safety, quality, and productivity. Contacts and works with suppliers/contractors regarding machine equipment and facility maintenance. Participates in improvement projects as required, assigning maintenance support and coordinating outside suppliers when necessary. Supports overall facility planning activities regarding new equipment installations, building changes, and factory rearrangement in support of business needs. Partners with the Safety Department to assist in correcting any safety issues within the facility. Maintains collaborative relationships with all other departments. Performs other related duties as assigned. Education / Skills Required Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or five years of work experience. Minimum of five years of experience in the maintenance field within a manufacturing environment. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Self‑starter with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy. Analytical ability to gather and summarize data, find solutions to administrative problems, and prioritize work. Knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
