Solution Architect Sr. - Fraud, Enterprise Technology

Position Overview Solution Architect Sr. – PNC Technology Organization Location options: Pittsburgh PA, Cleveland OH (preferred), Birmingham AL, Phoenix AZ, Dallas TX. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position. Key Responsibilities Evaluate requests for solution architecture services, ensuring starting requirements and stakeholder identification. Document business outcomes, problem statements, requirements, and use cases with the requestor/BSA/product owner. Review requests against existing service offering matrix to determine SLA. Work with product organization to prioritize work against competing priorities. Create draft artifacts, investigate technologies, and assess constraints. Identify additional stakeholders, both business and technology. Engage relevant vendors, technology owners/SMEs, Enterprise Architecture, Security Architecture, and product owners to ensure feasibility, best practices, standards, and expectations are met. Create UML use case, component, and sequence diagrams with textual details for each step. Create BPMN context diagram, functional flow diagram, cross‑functional flow diagram, and application configuration flowchart diagram. Review and evaluate options and technologies to satisfy the requested service offering. Maintain knowledge of multiple technologies and their interrelationships. Document assumptions, risks, and decisions. Ensure deliverables align with documented architectural guiding principles. Present deliverables in design reviews to all stakeholders. Obtain artifact approval from all necessary stakeholders. Articulate cost/benefit or trade‑off analysis. Formulate, document, and defend new technology strategies. Perform peer review of other designs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred). 5+ years of experience in IT architecture. Technical Skills Understanding of NICE Actimize platform (preferred). Strong grasp of containerization platforms (RedHat OpenShift, Kubernetes, AKS). Knowledge of micro‑service design patterns. Familiarity with 12‑factor app and cloud‑native design principles. Familiarity with UML diagram types. Familiarity with BPMN. Soft Skills Strong sense of initiative and ownership. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. Preferred Skills Microservices Containerization UML Kafka Salary Base Salary: $112,000.00 – $249,600.00. Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and individual skills, experience, and education. Incentive eligible.
