Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at Fairview East Healthcare and Behavioral Center in Long Beach, California. Work Environment

The ideal candidate will work onsite in our orthopedic outpatient facility dedicated to offering top-tier rehabilitation services to patients primarily covered by private medical insurance. You will be joining a supportive team of healthcare professionals, including two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), fostering a dynamic atmosphere for knowledge exchange and collaboration. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent and predictable work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' mobility challenges and set specific objectives for rehabilitation.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans using a diverse range of therapeutic techniques, addressing individual patient needs.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, ensuring that you see one patient per hour, facilitating timely and focused care.
• Provide evidence-based practices and exercise regimens to enhance patients' functional abilities while reducing dependency on medication and invasive surgical options.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their therapeutic journey to maximize their engagement and recovery potential.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and nurses, to craft a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Promote healthy lifestyle habits by educating patients on the importance of physical activity, nutrition, and overall wellness.
• Maintain thorough and accurate records of treatments and interactions using EMR software, such as WebPT, ensuring compliance and efficiency in documentation.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills, learn new treatments, and stay updated on industry trends.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center focuses on patients seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions, making it essential for our therapists to exhibit expertise in dealing with a wide range of musculoskeletal issues. You will be working with individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions, making your expertise critical to their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Must be a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of California, with a clean record free from board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Skills: Proficient in manual therapy techniques and capable of developing individualized exercise protocols for patients.
• Technology: Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) software, preferably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Prior interaction with a diverse patient population dealing with varying levels of mobility restrictions.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver patient-centered care and communicate effectively with patients and families.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
