This role is responsible for analyzing system and information requirements, evaluating infrastructure challenges, and developing corrective actions to ensure performance, scalability, and operational reliability.The Senior Engineer leads and supports HCI administration, supervises technical staff, and provides strategic and operational guidance for complex, real-time systems.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze information and system requirements for enterprise hyper-converged infrastructure environmentsAdminister, maintain, and optimize hyper-converged platforms to ensure high availability, performance, and resiliencyEvaluate infrastructure issues related to workflow, organization, and planning, and develop effective corrective actionsProvide daily technical supervision, guidance, and direction to system engineering staffLead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of complex infrastructure issuesSupport capacity planning, performance optimization, and infrastructure lifecycle managementDesign and implement configuration changes, upgrades, and enhancements within HCI environmentsSupport real-time, interactive systems with online acquisition and processing capabilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional infrastructure, security, and operations teamsDevelop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operational standardsEnsure compliance with enterprise architecture, security, and operational best practicesRequirementsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in:Computer ScienceInformation SystemsEngineeringBusinessOr another related scientific or technical disciplineMinimum 6 years of general experience in systems engineeringAt least 3 years of specialized experience supervising system engineersDemonstrated experience supporting interactive, real-time systems with online acquisition capabilitiesStrong ability to analyze infrastructure requirements and develop corrective technical solutionsPreferred Qualifications10 years of experience administering and supporting hyper-converged infrastructure environmentsHands-on experience with enterprise HCI platforms in large-scale, production environmentsCurrent professional certifications, including:Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)Nutanix Certified Professional – Multicloud Infrastructure (NCP-MCI)Experience leading infrastructure teams and mentoring system engineersStrong background in performance tuning, scalability planning, and infrastructure optimizationMaster’s degree in a related technical discipline (preferred)Job InformationJob Opening ID ZR_100_JOB Date Opened 02/05/2026 Job Opening Status In-progress Industry Engineering Project Start Date 03/02/2026 Candidate Application Submission Deadline 02/08/2026 Job Type Full time Work Experience 5+ years City College Park State/Province Maryland Country United States Zip/Postal Code 20740
